Hey y'all!
I'm back this week with another addition to Wedding Wednesday with another beautiful bride, Kendall.
Let's see what Kendall had to say about her & Colby's beautiful day!
Welcome to Southern & Style's Wedding Wednesday! First of all, tell my readers a little bit about you & your husband (how you met, how he proposed, where you're from, what you both do, etc.)
My name is Kendall and I'm a home health RN. My husband, Colby works at a car dealership in the service department, and we live in Albertville, AL!
Colby and I actually met after he sent me a Facebook message! We had a date and were basically inseparable from the very beginning! He proposed to me six months later on August 1st, 2015 in Guntersville, AL on a lede overlooking the lake.
Give a brief description of your wedding day:
We were married on September 24, 2016.
Our day was HOT and SUNNY! We were married at a gorgeous wedding barn in my hometown of Walnut Grove, AL. We had a barn full of family and friends; it was absolutely perfect!
What venue did you choose and why did you choose it?
We chose The West Grove in Walnut Grove, AL.
I chose this barn because for one, the barn and surrounding land is absolutely gorgeous. The owner is such a pleasure to work with, and accommodates you in any way he can.
With many wedding/event barns, you basically just get the barn and you have to supply everything else...the owner of The West Grove allowed me to use any and everything that I saw that I wanted to use! It was so helpful!
What has been the most fun part of planning your wedding? What did you look forward most to planning?
I guess I looked forward to the dress shopping the most!
What advice would you give to other brides as they're planning their weddings?
Relax! It WILL all fall into place on the big day! And also, start planning early and don't be afraid to give yourself plenty of time to plan!
If you could re-do anything, what would you change, if anything?
I wouldn't change a thing!
Which did you look more forward to and why; the actual wedding day or the honeymoon?
I couldn't even focus on the honeymoon until after the wedding!
Where was your honeymoon?
Gatlinburg, Tennessee!
Did you DIY any of your wedding or did you let someone else handle all the details? Why did you choose that?
We did mostly everything ourselves (with the help of friends & family), mainly to help us save on costs!
Was your spouse super involved in the wedding planning or no?
Not really a whole lot, I'm a bit of a control freak and he knew that! Haha! 😂

That was nice of them to let you use everything! I feel like that is such a tough thing when choosing a venue because you want things but have to budget everything.
