Ten on Tuesday [No.39]

Y'all-can you believe it's 2018?!
I'm still writing 2017 on everything (which I'll probably be doing at least until February, but whatever) so it doesn't seem like it's actually real yet, but it really is-time is just flying!

I took a longer than expected break, skipping last Tuesday because I was just enjoying some time with my sweet husband & getting things refreshed from the holidays around our home.
But I'll tell you all about that in the 1-10!

Did anyone else do the #2017BestNine?
It was kind of fun to look back & see what my most popular posts were-I see that y'all really enjoyed my posts from Nashville & I like that too; it just gives me a reason to go back!
And I'll probably never stop sharing my wedding photos 😉

It's the prettiest shade, especially for the upcoming Spring & I've got all the heart eyes for this baking dish.

If you read my January goals you'll know that I have fitness on my mind with the new elliptical that we bought. I've been using it a couple of days a week & it's such a good workout.
I love that I don't have to leave my house to go to the gym anymore & I can just watch something on my iPad. The view isn't much (it looks out onto the bushes in front of my front porch 🙈) but it's fine with me as long as I don't have to get out in the cold to exercise anymore.

Since it's been so cold, I've been having to feed my elderly horse, Wrangler (who isn't in this picture-he was eating 😂) but I've been spending a lot of time with these guys while I'm outside and they just make the prettiest pictures.

We had to postpone our family Christmas party because of a freak snow storm that gave Alabama ten inches of snow a few weeks ago, so we ended up having it the Thursday after Christmas-but it was still so much fun to get together and celebrate with everyone.
My niece, Lola loves Forrest-they're so sweet together!

Of course we had to take a couple of family pictures on our front porch!
And we enjoyed my dad's gas fire pit, too.
It was perfect for roasting marshmallows over-my favorite dessert of all time.

It seems like lately I'm always cold (it probably has something to do with the fact that the temperature in Alabama right now is hovering around literally freezing).
I feel like this zip hoodie is the answer to all my problems & prayers, plus that color is beautiful.
It just looks so chic & cozy all at the same time.

How did y'all spend your New Years Eve/New Years Day?
For NYE, we had our friends & their little girl over for dinner and we just hung out and had a good time talking and laughing.
Then Saturday morning I lounged in my super stylish sweatpants (aka Chris' sweats) and my socks and watched the Rose Parade until it was time to head to Chris' parents for the traditional NYD meal of greens, pork, cornbread, and black-eyed peas.
Do y'all eat that on NYD?

Have y'all ever heard of MoviePass before?
Someone recommended it as a gift on a gift guide that I read before Christmas & I thought it was the coolest concept.
Basically, you buy this card for $10 per month & you can use it to see as many movies as you want, if your movie theater participates (and even my small-town theatre does, so yours probably does too!)
I remember going to the movies a lot in high school, so this would've definitely paid for itself pretty quickly.
I'm not sponsored by them or affiliated with them, I just thought it was awesome & would save you lots of money if you went to the movies often!

I got this cute little letter board for Christmas & it's honestly one of my favorite things I've probably ever gotten.
I love changing out the quotes for different occasions (my first quote was "Some people are worth melting for" from Frozen, so I could display it at our late Christmas party) and then my newest one is in honor of the new adventures in the New Year!

Southern Living shared four home decor trends that are on their way you agree with any of these? I'm so glad that I don't stick to what's trendy, I just stick to what looks good to me.

Until next time. . .

  1. 2017 best nine is actually the best thing for IG ever haha

  2. Your front porch was so pretty for the holidays! Such great photos! :)

  3. I hate being cold, too... they actually called off school here on Friday because the wind chill was below zero! I just ordered a similar North Face jacket with my Christmas money - hoping it keeps me cozy and warm!

  4. Sounds like you a lovely, relaxing New Year's just like me! My partner and I have a movie night, and we were too wrapped up in to realise that it had passed midnight until 20 minutes afterwards 😂

  5. Okay, I need that baking dish ASAP!

  6. I swear, one of my favorite things about NYD in the south is that you can pretty much count on having a delicious meal! You can never go wrong with greens! Also I love working out at home! I totally agree, I don't mind the view as long as I don't have to go out in the cold!

  7. Isn't it the best to just take a little time off?! I loved seeing what you have been up to, and major envy about your elliptical! I want one so bad... maybe when I have an apartment with more than one bedroom! Haha. Also, I am LOVING your navy doors!

  8. I want that baking dish too! I love their colors!

  9. I got a Movie Pass card for the holidays too. I haven't gotten a chance to use it, but I'll definitely be getting my money's worth out of it.

  10. Oh my goodness. Your horses are so gorgeous! And I loved doing top nine it was such a fun walk down memory lane ;)

  11. I love that you have horses! Do you live on a farm?
