Ten on Tuesday [No.20]

Hey y'all & happy Tuesday!
This week is vacation week for me-we'll be heading out on Friday & so of course this week I'm cleaning the house, getting packing done, and just tying up loose ends before we leave.
Let's jump into this week's Ten...
ONE
Cortney did an awesome post all about her views on Instagram's algorithm and some questionable social media strategies that some bloggers may be participating in-namely loop giveaways.
This one is great for bloggers to read, but it's also great for regular-non-bloggers too, so they can be educated about what influencers are legitimate and which are not.

TWO
99% of the responses to this video completely warmed my heart & restored my faith in humanity.
Dogs are so important, they're like members of the family!

THREE
The perfect game for your next girls night or bachelorette party has finally arrived-prosecco pong 🍷

FOUR
Last Wednesday I went to Birmingham to meet up with my sister & to see my niece and nephew for a little while before we headed to a concert that evening.
Our first stop was K & J's Elegant Pastries for these crazy milkshakes-y'all they were crazy.
Thankfully, my niece & nephew ate/drank most of them so I didn't go into diabetic shock, but they were pretty tasty!
Speaking of my niece...she's a cheerleader this year!
Isn't she the cutest thing you've ever seen?! She makes this aunt's heart proud 😊
The concert was at the Oak Mountain Amphitheater and it was Matchbox 20 & Counting Crows!
I actually went with my sister (the gorgeous one below), but two of my good friends from high school were also at the show so of course we had to meet up for a picture when it was over!

FIVE
More recently, this weekend I went to get a pedicure with my sweet friend Paige.
I ended up getting a gel pedicure for the first time (in the color Magically Mauve-which was actually a pretty lavender color) and I love it!
We had to get prepped and pampered for her baby shower on Sunday-she had such a cute shower & now we're just counting down the days until baby Anna Claire gets here!

SIX
I don't know if I've really shared about this on the blog before, but basically since I was in high school I've been dedicated to daily journaling-which I highly recommend because it's so fun to look back through those and see how life has changed & see what was important to me back then and now.
But in addition to just writing my thoughts down daily, in 2015 I started doing this Q&A A Day journal which is basically just one question that you'll answer every day of the year & you do it for five years-it's so fun to see how the answers change throughout the five years!
Oh & also, just for a bonus this is the journal I just bought myself to use when I run out of pages in my current one & I'm so excited to use it!

SEVEN
Recipes to Try:
Beef Lombardi Casserole (I think this is what I'm trying out tonight!)
These Garlic Parmesan Roasted Red Potatoes sound like the perfect side dish
Zucchini Rollatini might be the perfect substitute for the lasagna rolls that I crave so much

EIGHT
I've shared Riley Green with y'all before & I still absolutely love his music-he's so talented & it doesn't hurt that we're both alumni from JSU 😉🐓
His newest song is Runnin' with an Angel; the best line?
"Holding you was Heaven, but losing you was Hell but I should've known the Devil had no business runnin' with an angel" So good, y'all!

NINE
I can finally share with y'all some of the things I picked up for my friend Paige (the one above that just had the baby shower!) and honestly if you have any friends or family expecting I highly recommend these products:
Horse Wubbanub (a pacifier with a plush horse attached-there are also other animal options!)
God Gave Us You (the sweetest book for firstborn children!)
White Onesie with Collar (This is perfect for wearing with any type of bottoms-it's a little dressier than your plain Gerber onesie!)
Floral Bubble (So cute for the warmer months!)
Fall Floral dress (Perfect for layering over their cute ruffle butt leggings!)

TEN
I have an exciting post planned for this Saturday (while we're in Nashville!)
so I had to take the pictures for it Sunday, since that's the first good weather we've had in forever. . .
Fortunately for me, my parents farm has tons of great places to shoot outfit photos, so hopefully with the help of my Mom I'm going to start taking advantage of that and including some clothing content with y'all.
As you can tell from the photo above from the shower, this is the outfit that I wore there (it will be on the blog at some point-just not Saturday!)
As soon as I finished doing the test shots with my DSLR the battery died...so these shots were with my iPhone, which thankfully is still decent, but I promise the quality will increase soon!

That's all for this week, folks-but come back Saturday to see the new post featuring something really fun and exciting!

Until next time. . .
xoxo,
