Impressive Hours

Yesterday was one of the hardest day's that I have experienced in a long time. When I was around 13, my father bought me a horse, the horse that would change my life forever. Impressive Hours, or Paint as we all called her, was my best friend, my confidant, my teacher, and now my angel.

She was twenty-five years old & there was no horse who was more loved than she.

I was thankful for all that she taught me and for every single moment I got to spend with her, down to the last second.

Losing a horse that has made such a large impact on my life has beat me up emotionally, but this is also a lifestyle blog and so I want to share things from my life with y'all.

Please don't give up on me yet, I'm going to get my feet back underneath me & get back up in the proverbial saddle. Expect a post on Equestrian Inspired Style this week, you'll see hints of her in my writing, I'm sure.

If you're a horsewoman (or man), or an animal lover in general, hold your fur-babies tight.

Until next time. . .
xoxo,

  1. I am so sorry about your horse! Losing someone you love is hard, a person or an animal. Keeping you in prayers!

  2. I am so sad for you and I do understand because I am the sort of person who adores my pets and truly count them as my best friends. What a beautiful horse. I am pleased you loved your house so much and I trust you have many wonderful memories together. I always thought it would be really amazing to own a horse.

    1. Thank you so much for your thoughtful comment! She truly was my best friend & we have seven years of beautiful memories together. She was one of my seven horses that I own right now, but definitely my "soul-mate" if you know what I mean.

      Thanks again!
