Wedding Wednesday

It's that time again, y'all. . . Wedding Wednesday!

I have been pinning like crazy on Pinterest & I just couldn't wait to share some of my favorite finds with y'all today.
Plus, I've been seeing so many sweet girls on my FaceBook get engaged, so I thought now was the perfect time to share!

Southern Soul Mates: In the Land Of Cotton...

Y'all know how much I love a cotton-field engagement shoot & this one is no different. From her boots to her dress, her style is spot-on. I love that they aren't too matchy-matchy & that they just look comfortable with each other. The cotton fields provide the perfect backdrop for a Southern engagement session.

(See more of these photos here)

Emerald cut.

When it comes to engagement rings, bigger is always better right?
Welllll, not always. I love the simplicity of this emerald cut diamond.
It's got the halo going all the way around it & the diamonds along the band, which I love.
I didn't realize how rare emerald cut diamonds are to find in jewelry stores, so it is pretty special-even if it isn't big & gaudy. :)

Rustic Country Burlap Lace Twine Wedding Invites
The perfect invitation is a necessity for every good party *especially weddings* & these invitations are perfect for a rustic affair. I love all the detail from the twine tie at the top, to the burlap, the lace, and the navy color (which can be changed to suit your wedding colors!)

If you order your invitations from Zazzle & sign up for their emails, you can take 15% off your first order!

Princess Bride Ball-Gown.

This dress fits every single criteria I have for my ideal wedding gown, like seriously...how much more "Southern Belle" can you get?
The sweetheart lace neckline that graces the top, the sweet, simple ribbon that cinches in your waist, and the flowing ball-gown skirt with the lace accents make it elegant and perfect.
Don't you just love it?

Hydrangea wedding bouquet.. LOVE

Now that you have the perfect gown, you have to add the perfect bouquet.
Hydrangeas are a southern wedding staple (plus they dry beautifully, so you'll always be able to cherish your wedding flowers!)
These are the perfect color combination for a Fall wedding, I would add a burlap & lace wrap around the stems to protect your dress & then call it a day!

Check out more floral ideas from Candie's Floral Creations, who designed this gorgeous arrangement!

Nude dresses, hair down and baby's breath - Simplicity

My favorite bridesmaids dresses are long & chiffon, I love the easy, flowing style. This nude shade is absolutely breath-taking & the baby's breath floral arrangements are a great way to not only save money, but also to make a big impact-imagine how the bride's hydrangea bouquet would look next to these simple bridesmaid's bouquets!
The bridesmaid's wearing their hair down would also compliment the bride's up-do.

Perfect flower girls.

I know I talk about having a "rustic" ceremony & reception, but I think this may be the first time I've ever featured flower girls on the blog & these little girls fit the "rustic" description perfectly!
I love the idea of putting little girls in simple white dresses, much more cost effective & they can actually wear them again!
The little boots are so cute too, especially if you're having the rest of your wedding party wear boots as well!
Find the dresses on Etsy here, more cost effective option here.

hmm..kinda like the idea of wrapping the groomsmen gifts in their tie...

Gifts for the groomsmen can be difficult, but I love the ideas that TheKnot.com offers!
This particular idea includes a flask in a box, with the tie that they are to wear on the big day wrapped around the box, tied with twine.
It's a fun way to give the gift & include the tie as part of it.

Bridesmaid gift idea - Ballard Tote Bags - The large, personalized, is only $25, medium only $20

For the bridesmaids, a large tote is a great way to go-that way she'll be able to carry all of her necessities for the big day!
These natural jute totes from Ballard Designs are great & can be personalized with her monogram, initials, or her first name.
Add in a koozie, the nail polish color you'd like her to wear on your day, a tumbler, and a mini bottle of wine & you're set!

Tractor Sign | A tractor with a "Just Married" sign transports this wedding party around the property for pictures. | SouthernLiving.com

For your exit, wouldn't having a hayride be so much fun?
I've always been the farmer's daughter, so this would be sort of hilarious but also fun for the exit on the big day!
Just find a friend with a tractor & wagon & then just go to town, bonus points if you add the streamers & "Just Married" sign.
(This also prevents having the groomsmen trash your car...& when I think about who would be the groomsmen at our wedding, the hay ride is sounding better & better)

I hope y'all enjoyed today's Wedding Wednesday post, let me know if you would want to see this again!

Until next time. .  .

xoxo,
